Sanatan Dharma — Trust Not Fear (Message by Tu Na Rin)
I proudly say — I am a Hindu, because our Dharma teaches us to live not with fear, but with faith.
Namaskar, I am Tu Na Rin, a follower of Sanatan. Today, I want to share with you a simple yet deeply touching truth — the greatest foundation of Sanatan Dharma is not fear, but trust.
A Dharma that teaches trust, not fear
In many places around the world, religion is often associated with fear:
- “If you don’t follow this, you will be punished.”
- “If you do this, God will become angry.”
But the tone of Sanatan Dharma is very different. Our Dharma says:
“Do not fear, have faith… God is not far from you; He is with you.”
Here, Dharma is not just a book of rules. It is a gentle art of understanding and living life.
When religion is tied to fear, the mind shrinks;
when religion is tied to trust, the mind blossoms.
Sanatan teaches us not to shrink — but to bloom.
Lamps, temples, and worship — symbols of trust, not fear
When we light a lamp, we do not light it out of fear of punishment. It is lit to remind us that:
- there is a light within us,
- there is hope within us,
- and no matter how deep the darkness, even a small flame can pierce through it.
When we go to a temple, we do not go thinking, “If I please God, everything will be fine.” We go with the feeling:
- May my mind become calm,
- may my intellect become clear,
- may I place my confusions before God and feel lighter.
In our tradition, God is not seen as a king who gives punishments, but as:
- a friend,
- the support of a father,
- the tenderness of a mother,
- and a companion who walks with us in life.
Rama, Krishna, Shiva, and Ganesha — the four pillars of trust
Our deities do not teach fear; they teach the art of living:
- Lord Rama gives us strength, patience, and integrity. He teaches us to stay on the right path even in difficult times.
- Lord Krishna teaches us love, wisdom, and balance. He shows that life can hold both laughter and the wisdom of the Gita.
- Lord Shiva teaches freedom, simplicity, and depth. His form shows that true divinity is recognized not by appearance, but by sincerity.
- Lord Ganesha teaches us to face obstacles. He reminds us that challenges will come at the beginning, but have faith — you can overcome them.
All their teachings point in one direction — Do not fear God; trust God.
Next time you stand before a deity, a temple, or a picture of God, do not go with fear. Go as if you are meeting a friend — you will feel your heart becoming lighter.
What Sanatan Dharma tells us in difficult times
Whenever life becomes difficult, fear and anxiety naturally arise. But Sanatan Dharma never says:
“This happened because God is angry with you.”
The message of Sanatan is:
- Difficulties are part of life.
- In tough times, turn to the God within you.
- You are not alone — your Ishtadev, your faith, your spiritual strength stands with you.
I, Tu Na Rin, only want to tell you this:
Whenever challenges come, do not panic. Call upon the God within you… He will never leave you alone.
A mind filled with fear becomes weak; a mind filled with faith becomes strong
Fear makes us small:
- We begin doubting ourselves,
- we see negativity everywhere,
- we think, “I cannot do this…”
But faith strengthens us:
- We start believing in ourselves and our capabilities,
- we feel, “God is with me; I am not alone,”
- we see challenges as steps, not as endings.
The essence of Sanatan Dharma is:
It does not weaken a person; it empowers them. It does not fill the mind with fear, but with unshakeable trust.
Take a small vow today:
“I will live my life not with fear, but with faith in God.”
This single sentence can transform your daily decisions.
I proudly say — my Dharma is built on trust
When I look at my Sanatan Dharma, I see:
- love,
- freedom,
- compassion,
- and above all, unwavering trust in God.
And because of this trust, I proudly tell the world:
“Yes, I am a Hindu, and the foundation of my Dharma is not fear — it is faith.”
